August Smart glasses study

this study is set to begin early august, 2025.

Interested participants are welcome to fill out the application form. We will reach out for scheduling once this study officially begins.

Study Details:

For this study, subjects will be asked to follow protocols such as stationary biking OR walking OR running on a treadmill as well as sitting while performing gestures (taps, swipes, etc.). Be prepared to perform gestures wearing wet headwear (towels, and helmet). Please come dressed appropriately in athletic wear, wear appropriate outdoor (workout/running) shoes. Bring necessary food and drinks for the day, a shower towel that you are okay with getting wet, your personal beanie and a baseball cap.

This study requires a total of 3 hours of protocol completion. Upon arriving the day of your appointment we will require the completion of a Non-Disclosure Agreement and participant intake form. Staff will explain protocols in detail and continue with collection.

Protocol conditions:

• Treadmill walk OR run OR stationary cycling

• Sitting

• Performing gestures while wearing accessories such as biking gloves, a towel, beanie and a helmet with wet straps

• Will simulate wet conditions via water spray bottle

Study requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older

• Must be able to travel to our project site located in Morgan Hill

• Please bring a beanie, baseball cap and shower towel large enough to drape over your head

• No food or drink consumption within the past hour

• No vigorous exercise within the past 24 hours
